You'r...I enjoyed reading about your homeschool. You're off to a good start. Hope things are still going well. I like your idea of having a teaching philosophy. That helps to give focus and direction. One of our fundamental reasons for homeschooling is my husband feels strongly that he wants our kids to be kids as long as they can be kids. Seems like kids in a public school environment grow up sooner than their homeschool counterparts. Socialization was never an issue for our kids. In fact, we've usually had to limit their activities because they'd do stuff all the time if they could. Thanks for sharing your journey. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.Angie Vikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03392363949019834052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3260474823266276024.post-56482000127100743172010-11-19T23:25:35.562-05:002010-11-19T23:25:35.562-05:00Wonderful post, My parents pulled my sisters and I...Wonderful post, My parents pulled my sisters and I out of public school when I was getting ready to start jr high, many moons ago. It was before it was legal in our state and we spent a lot of the first year learning about the laws and how one goes about getting them changed. By the time I was 15 I had started college, was not extra smart I just knew what I wanted to do. When I became a mom I decided to teach my children at home and did until the oldest one was ready for jr high, I wish I had held on to the younger ones a bit longer but it all turned out ok. If you ever want to chat homeschooling I am always around. I have experience on both sides :)Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03465675098918780540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3260474823266276024.post-6322596939032261492010-11-18T19:32:42.586-05:002010-11-18T19:32:42.586-05:00I'm so moved by your teaching philosophy :) Yo...I'm so moved by your teaching philosophy :) You're so brave, and I'm so inspired by you.
