Perhaps my mom should have invited these dogs to the table, to teach us how to eat a meal using proper etiquette.

Manners
When my brothers and I were kids, we were enrolled in "Momma June's Manner School." This was a series of meals hosted by our patient and loving mom, who always had a creative way of teaching us valuable life lessons. Ironically, we sometimes got extreme cases of the sillies during manner school. Trying to hold in a giggle, I felt I would burst at the seams and laughed so hard that orange juice came spurting out of my nostrils. That was the end of manner school and my first failing grade. I'm not sure I would have done very well in home school.

Ha!!!!!!! I can't stop laughing- this is completely charming! Next to these fine pups, I'm sure a lot of folks would fall short in manners. We had manners taught to us in a nice way by my mom and grandma, especially table manners. I think that kind of thing has gone by the wayside for the most part nowdays.
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny, Jenny! I also had a similar experience of something I was drinking escaping from my astounded nostrils, much to my chagrin, I recall :)
ReplyDeleteI've seen these dogs before, but could never tire of their amazingly expressive faces. Aren't they just too adorable? Wish we could get ours to perform so well!
I hope you are feeling a bit better than you were? If not, be good and take things easy!
Hugs till next time!

I love those dogs! (LOL) There are eateries here in W. Central Florida that welcome dogs as long as they're accompanied by their owners. I think there are one or two that only serve canine clientele. I'm sure that I would have liked you as a child because at that age I often acted silly at inappropriate times. I haven't changed much in the 100 years since. I hope you are feeling much better, dear Jenny!
ReplyDeleteI love it! It just amazes me the creativity of people. Great share and soo true that it would be a good lesson for some!
ReplyDeleteThat movie was so funny :) Thank you for the laugh today.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great day! I'm just home from work.

THAT was funny! I remember my mom trying to drill good table manners into my three brothers and me. I think it all stuck... most of the time...
