Back To School

It's almost back to school for Elliot and I...here's a picture we took at REI while we were trying on backpacks for our AT Hike.  I love his sweet kindergarten smile.   When we buy backpacks for our son, it's not to send him away on the bus, but to take him on a hike!  That's why we've named our homeschool "Learning Free and In the Wild."

  1. Oh, what a happy little boy! And, it's no wonder...who wouldn't be happy to learn and explore, question and test, seek and ponder in such an inspiring and safe place! What a very fortunate little boy you are, Elliot! And what a wonderful Mother you are, Jenny!

  6. Great smile! Hope all are well and enjoying a nice Labor Day weekend. Truly amazing how quickly summer has gone by. Time for me to get back in the thick of things as I've been a way for what seems the last month. Wishing you a super week ahead, take care, be safe!

  7. Hi Jenny Elliot is looking very happy with his backpack on. It doesn't take much to make them happy. Wanted to let you know that I used one of those tools to randomly select a winner for our giveaway and you are the winner. All I need is an address to ship the box to you. I was hoping it would be you and there are lots of congratulation comments on my blog for you so check them out.

  9. Odie sent me. :)
Some people we meet on the trail think it's funny that our kids have their own camelbacks. Hey, they weren't the one carrying water for five people! My shoulders needed a break.
