A Blooming Canopy and a Secret

It's heavenly outside, so I have nothing important to say.  My head is full of springtime.

Yesterday I wrote down a children's story, inspired by a discussion from our home school writer's workshop.  It's complete silly nonsense.  I started telling it in class because our newest student was so shy that she didn't say a word during the entire class.  By the end of the session she was giggling.  So I went home and the whole story fell out of my pen.  It feels like a secret to have written it.   I looked at a list of publishers.  I  must act quickly or else lose my nerve entirely.  I'm certain that if I read it aloud or look at it again I might hide it in a drawer forever.

  2. No need for words Jenny, with beautiful spring photos like this! I'm sure your childrens' story is very good, so don't you dare just put it away in a drawer! Good luck with it my friend. If it made that shy little girl giggle, it should mean that all little ones would enjoy it.

  3. I don't know where you live, but I wish I was there right now. It is actually snowing right now! It doesn't usually snow in March. Poo.

Love the photos and yes, get that story out to a publisher! Have a great day.

  4. Beautiful pictures, Jenny, and I'm happy to know that spring has sprung where you are. The streets of my town are lined with blooming Crape Myrtle. The problem is that our spring has come and gone and it feels like summertime which is not a good thing in Florida. Air conditioners are already running most of the day and evening and soon our version of cabin fever will set in.

Why procrastinate until you talk yourself out of it? Go ahead and send your story to a publisher. I call it M.A.N. power - Massive Action Now.
