One little girl doesn't appear to be too happy ;) Beautiful pictures of those bubbles...love bubbles! Since I no longer have children at home, maybe I should get the dogs some bubbles and see what they make of them :)
South Africa really is a beautiful country full of astounding and stark contrast. I was born in what was then Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). My parents emigrated to SA when I was 7. My parents and only sibling (my younger sister) and her family left SA 15 and 20 years ago respectively, first to live in the UK then to live in Australia. My husband's two older sisters live in the UK and USA respectively. One did not have children. The one who lives in England has two who now live in Los Angeles and New Zealand, respectively with their own young families to raise. We are the only immediate family members still living here apart from my 94 year old FIL and our two children (thankfully!) We are very happy here and have no desire to leave. It's tough when family move away and live scattered all over the world, but it all comes down to the choices people make! I believe we find peace and contentment within ourselves rather than in a physical space.
Hi there Jenny. Yes, that one little girl is looking as if someone has stolen her lolly!! Fantastic photos and what amazing bubbles. Looks like great fun.
OH, LOVE BUBBLES♪♪♪ Marvelous pictures with beautiful bubbles. I wonder if the girl was a bit crossed with seeing Elliot good at making a bubble. I'm SO happy that you felt having such a rewarding week!!! Thank you for learning about Japan and hope the precious week help the kids to have international mind. Blessing to you and children xoxo, Orchid.
Sounds like a truly fulfilling week, good for you :o) Your pics are wonderful as always as is the post. Elliot appears to have that bubble wand down. As for the two girls, I've mixed thoughts, A. They are in deep concentration or B. they're not happy that they've not acheived bubble mastery as Elliot has. (tell tail sign is kids only tend cross their arms when upset or unhappy)
Angie, good question! I love the responses I'm receiving on this post. It's so contradictory to what I've written about being full of happiness. For me, this picture was taken when I was full to busted happy with my experience of teaching. The girls in the pictures were not in my class. Their faces remind me that I can still be happy even when someone else is not...Perhaps I captured a moment of pure concentration or jealousy, or perhaps they were entirely disappointed with the whole party. In any case, my happiness was not affected negatively.

ReplyDeleteGreat pictures - the bubble pictures are amazing. Any forthcoming explanations why the girl in the middle has her pouty face on?
